This video is a snippet from my research at Winchester Hospital in the pathology lab. I started this internship in the summer before my junior year and it has only grown my passion for being involved in the medical field. With Dr. Megha G. Joshi MD, I have analyzed patients' electrophoresis serum gel protein tests, urine tests, pap smears, and other cancer screening tests. I am  able to detect cancer markers and bands in these tests to determine whether the patient has cancer. I have worked with a variety of cancers including breast, prostate, DCIS, and bladder to name a few. I also scribe for all the lab results that we analyze together and we work on her ongoing research projects. I love going here every week and spending more time furthering my passion for medical science outside of school.
