The Lunar Festival was a fundraising project I created during the COVID-19 pandemic to support local businesses in my town. I did this through a talent show that all ages could participate in​ to showcase diversity through various musical talents. I was fortunate to have been able to raise $1,500 to give back to these local shops that I loved going to as a child.
Ongoing Community Service Projects
Community service has been a passion of mine from a young age and my multi-faith group that meets every Sunday has been an outlet through which I do many community service projects throughout the year. In past years I have participated in a variety of projects such as creating care packages for the homeless, cooking at Haley House (a soup kitchen in Boston, MA), and singing carols at nursing homes.
This year I worked on creating Thanksgiving food boxes for underprivileged families in Lowell, MA, filling and handing out free backpacks to children who are in need, and volunteering at a free medical healthcare camp. I am committed to serving others and hope to continue throughout college to give back to my various communities.
